Making a booking:

At the time of booking, a non-refundable retainer of 30% of the total package is required to secure your booking/date. When the retainer/deposit is received, the date and time is reserved, and we will not make any other reservations for that date and time. For this reason, all retainers/deposits are non-refundable, even if the date is changed or the wedding cancelled for any reason. The remaining balance must be paid 1 (one) calendar month prior to the date of the event/wedding. 

Other conditions:

Please note, that on acceptance of booking, Meraki Event Styling retains the copyright to images taken on the day by Maxine or other staff members. In addition, all rights are reserved to use the images in the portfolio, website promotion and advertising of the business in any way.

Wet weather/Unexpected circumstances:

In the event of wet/bad weather/unexpected circumstances, Meraki Event Styling will not refund the client/hirer for items being used outside, once the final balance has been paid.

Terms and conditions:

  • Meraki Event Styling is only responsible for setting up and/or styling the items listed on your invoice (if set up fees are included in the hire cost). Any other items, including seating, tables, linen and cutlery, not listed on your invoice as ‘including set up’, are not the responsibility of Meraki Event Styling.
  • Meraki Event Styling is not responsible for the wedding and/or event celebration cake, including the movement, location or styling of it, unless specified in the above quote.
  • Meraki Event Styling is responsible for packing up their own items, not other items, including those of the client that they may have contributed to the styling, unless specified in the attached quote.
  • Meraki Event Styling is not held responsible for rubbish left by the guests at the ceremony, i.e; beer bottles, ice and other rubbish. Please ensure the client advises guests to place all of the rubbish in bins or take it with them.

 

  1. Use of equipment: The hirer/client shall at all times use the equipment in a skilful and proper manner and shall at their own expense service, clean and maintain the equipment in good order and substantial repair and conditions, reasonable wear and tear excepted.

  2. Cleaning: Upon completion of the hiring/styling, the equipment must be left in a clean and orderly manner, ready for collection by Meraki Event Styling, either the same day/night, or following day (time allocated by the venue/client)

  3. Ownership: Meraki Event styling is the owner of all of the equipment used at your event, including vases, table numbers, furniture, props, candy/ dessert bar equipment etc. The only items that are allowed to be taken at the conclusion of the night, are the fresh flowers, but NOT the vases, unless organised and arranged by Meraki Event Styling and the client.

  4. Damage to equipment: The hirer/client shall be responsible for any loss of, or damage to the equipment for any reason whatsoever except loss or damage which is caused by reasonable wear and tear. It is agreed that upon the completion of the period of hire the whole or any part of the cost of replacement of or repair to the equipment may be deducted from the hirer.

  5. Security bond: A security bond is required from every client, prior to the event, to ensure that any damage or theft of Meraki Event Styling’s items are secure. The bond is refunded one week after the event, if there is nothing broken or missing. The bond cost varies depending on your quote. If the item{s} are returned damaged or broken, and the cost exceeds the bond, money will be required from the client to cover all costs.
